A Bulgarian sadist that has been likened to Hannibal Lecter is being sought by authorities as it is thought he is a threat to the general public.

The Bulgarian national caused outrage by video taping hundreds of deaths of household pets that he fed to his collection of killer snakes.  On internet forums he openly offered to show and send footage to anyone who wanted to see death from first hand experience.

Evgeni Andreev, 30, is said to own a collection of  50 highly dangerous snakes including Boa constrictors, rattlesnakes and cobras.

Andreev a computer animation specialist from Sofia, made videos of domestic pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs being fed to his snakes, satisfying their hunger and at the same time his twisted desire in seeing them die.  He then sent the sick videos to friends and acquaintances he met through online dating websites.

Some of the videos feature pets that were cut so they bled and sent the reptiles into a killing frenzy.  A rabbit is shown to scream like a "human" as a viper persistently attacks it with its venomous fangs. All victims were strangely given a clean bill of health by vets before being offered as live food.  Larger victims such as adult dogs were put into the holding tanks with the venomous snakes, purely for Andreev to revel in the suffering of the fatally bitten animal.  Upon death the dog would be butchered and fed piece by piece to the constrictors.

The  Bulgarian TV channel TV2, exposed the story last night on how Andreev would reply to adverts on pets for sale or needing homes.  He would promise to take care of the animals and give them lots of love, usually telling people they were a present for his girlfriend and that he would take at least two so they wont get lonely !

Andreev, is thought to have turned to Satanism after the death of his mother around 10 years ago from a severe form of cancer.  He had posted on forums " If Jesus exists, why did he let my mother go through this kind of torture, she was praying so hard and got nothing ".

On another forum the sicko expresses his belief that all Christians and Muslim's should be killed, he hates his father and his favourite films include 'Hellraiser' and 'Silence of the lambs'.  He idolises Adolf Hitler, Vlad the Impaler and U.S. serial killer Richard Ramirez.  A favourite saying of his is " Its better to be a master in hell than a slave in Heaven ".

Other forum users have commented on his profile " Your pics are good ! It's just a pity that you're such a cruel  pervert !  I hope you get what you deserve ! "

The Satanist has been widely travelled in his native Bulgaria, never settling in any area for too long.  Neighbours say that since he arrived " the homeless dogs started to disappear and strange blood marks started to appear on walls of surrounding apartment blocks".

Andreev is highly intelligent studying for a degree in mathematics and computer animation.  He appears normal on first impression but has a very sinister side that led neighbours to stay clear.

He shares his apartment with other tenants, who are currently looking after the snakes. He is believed to be in Prague at the moment . 

On going to the apartment a journalist was advised to take bodyguards.  Everyone who talks about him, talks with fear and pleads that we do not mention their names because they are afraid of reprisals.

He plans to return to Bulgaria in January in order to sit his exams  and collect his snakes to take away with him to the Czech Republic.

A friend disclosed that he had bragged of being bitten 11 times by a viper to arouse himself before indulging in sexual acts.   He was known to travel by public transport and to carry a snake in his pocket.  On being asked to present his ticket he would threaten the ticket collectors with the snake.

In was not that he had no money to buy them proper food, nor was it that his snakes needed only live food. It was just that he felt pleasure watching the rattle snakes kill their prey. And he filmed it, with music on the background and “funny” names of the video clips such as “Bunny’s Last Smile” - maybe thinking that he is a new Scorseze.

He was also breeding snakes for sale and boasted that their menu is the richest and most diverse possible. To prove this he would send one of his videos to potential buyers. He would go into detail how good for the health of the snake small kittens are and that if a puppy is too big, after the snake had killed it, he would have to dismember it and only then serve it.

When commenting on the people, from whom he had adopted the animals, he was quite sarcastic, as if feeling superior and untouchable. No wonder that no one, even if suspecting what was the fate of the poor animals, was ready to testify against Evgeni – he had visited the places of all, whose animals he adopted, and people were scared that he might attack them with one of his poisonous snakes.

A spokesman for animal rights organisation, Four Paws - Yavor Gechev, said " This is one of the most horrifying animal cruelty case I have ever seen.  To think of all the hundreds of pets that have been killed purely to satisfy this sick man's sadistic pleasure leaves me speechless.  If Evgeni Andreev is capable of this, he is certainly capable of doing similar to a human being and I think this will only be a matter of time, rather than if !
